How CardKeepApp handles your data and website preferences
Your Privacy Matters
CardKeepApp is designed with your privacy as our top priority. Here's how we handle your card data and photos:
Local Storage
All your card data, photos, and personal information are stored locally on your iPhone using Core Data. We never send your data to our servers or any third parties.
iCloud Photo Sync
When you save cards to CardKeepApp, the photos are automatically added to your device's photo library in an album called "CardKeepApp". If you have iCloud Photos enabled in your device settings, these photos will sync to your iCloud account as part of your normal photo backup - this is handled entirely by Apple, not by us.
No Data Collection
We don't collect analytics, crash reports, or any personal information. Your memories are yours alone.
Permissions
CardKeepApp only requests camera and photo library permissions to save your card photos. These are essential for the app's functionality.
Website Storage
Our website (cardkeep.app) uses minimal browser storage to enhance your experience:
- Welcome popup preference: We store a small flag to remember if you've seen our first-visit welcome message, so we don't show it repeatedly
- No tracking: We don't use cookies for analytics, advertising, or user tracking
- No personal data: No personal information is stored in browser storage
- Private browsing friendly: Our storage works with private/incognito browsing modes
